Just got a note from “my friends at Netflix” letting me know that they will be keeping profiles around.  The FAQ at Netflix hasn’t been updated yet, but I’m sure that it will be shortly.

The e-mail that I received from them said:

Dear Ben,

You spoke, and we listened. We are keeping Profiles. Thank you for all the calls and emails telling us how important Profiles are.

We are sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused. We hope the next time you hear from us we will delight, and not disappoint, you.
